Jovoy Paris - Gardez-Moi
A woman in a black cocktail dress with a sophisticated and chic hairstyle strolls across the Place Vendôme and onto the Rue de la Paix. Her endlessly long legs are playfully highlighted between the contrasting light and shade of the street lanterns. Heads consistently turn to admire but even the most penetrating stares disappear when she returns their gaze. It is almost as if she brings the scenery around her to life with her perfectly matching perfume. Other women glance at her with envy, whereby the men desire her greatly. She knows and feels it and plays with it, because she is the Woman.
The Eau de Parfum Gardez Moi is very opulent with rich gentle notes of white flowers, that offer a contrast to fresh aquatic extracts of cyclamen. Petals bring a floral touch to the head note. The ensemble creates a perfume that is both rich and harmonious, feminine and sensual, with a long-lasting and envious sillage.
In 2012, Jovoy launched Rouge Assassin in homage to the garçonne. Today, Gardez-Moi is the latest opus to pay tribute to the early days of the Maison. It was a time when the city’smost celebrated and infamous courtesans and mistresses were showered in tokens of their suitors’ esteem, in the form of a perfume, a passionate plea: “Gardez-Moi” – “keep me”.
“You could say that this gardenia is a very opulent, very rich bouquet of white flowers that offers a contrast between fresh, aqueous effects (cyclamen and watery notes) and the vegetal effect of crushed leaves in the top notes. Together they carry the ensemble and make the perfume at once rich and harmonious, feminine and sensual, while it remains true overtime.”Bertrand Duchaufour
