Isabey - Avant et Après
The Story
Avant et Après was part of Isabey’s latest launches during the 1930s, same as Tendre Nuit and Prends-moi (take-me). Between romance and sensuality, this new fragrance is the continuation of the merge between two hearts in love. Who were they before? And what will they be after? The way they love will be perfumed with the sweet and salty notes of Avant et Après. The name, Avant et après (Before and After) evokes the emotion, the transition caused by a unique encounter. The bright white color of the bottle represents the purity of the moment, the luminous gold color of the plate and the ribbon are symbol of a luminous future. For her first collaboration with Isabey, perfumer Marie Schnirer created a solar contemporary scent, a bouquet of feminine and sensual white flowers sublimated with salty notes: “Isabey inspires elegance, character and femininity. It was therefore interesting for me to compose a large bouquet of white flowers. What could be more feminine and sensual?”
The Fragrance
Avant et Après is composed with a sunny, creamy and narcotic white Floral bouquet, lulled by a sea wind in a refreshing signature. In the dry-down, Vanilla, Benzoin and Musk emphasize the sweetness and intensity of the Tiare Flower. The fragrance, by Marie Schnirer: “I wanted to interpret a Monoï accord and Orange blossom in an elegant style, a contrasted scent oscillating between contemporary opulence and freshness. I was inspired by a walk along the seaside at dawn, the sensations of fresh wind caressing the face in the bright light of sunrise”
