Omschrijving

SoOud - Ilham - Parfum Nectar 30 ml

Inkt stroomt uit de pen van een dichter die al dagen rijmpjes schrijft. Licht van de zonsondergang breekt de kamer binnen, vergezeld van de geur van jasmijn. Noten zo zoet als karamel tekenen een figuur met smaragdkleurige ogen in de lucht: het is haar, «Ilham», inspiratie. Ze komt sierlijk de ziel van de dichter binnen en doordringt zijn zintuigen met haar Eden-achtige geur.

Topnoten: saffraan
Hartnoten: Essences van Nagarmotha
Basisnoten: Gujum, Tree Musk, Amber

Ilham in het Arabisch is het geluid van het woord waarvan de overeenkomstige betekenis "Inspiratie" is.

The sensuality of oriental fragrances, intriguing and passionate, typical of the Arab world, encounter in SoOud a French soul and refined finish. Every fragrance praises inner beauty, the bottles almost entirely lacquered – except for the central part where a strip of transparent glass appears – to remind us of the niqab veil, which leaves a glimpse only of the eyes of the person who wears it. The stopper with its half cut recalls the sloping points of modern buildings in the Middle East, completing a masterful blend of traditions and contemporaneity. An invitation to discover the intrinsic mystery of every perfume, beyond all dogma or ideology.

Ilham is a unique and utterly beautiful perfume. I recently reviewed it on Fragrantica. It opens with warm notes of leather and caramel, intermingled with bright notes of berries and peach, and a slightly spicy aroma, probably from the saffron. The heart is dense and persistent, woody and spicy, wrapped in a caramelised sweetness, which somehow remains quite potent and unchangeable throughout its development, till the very end, which is definitely a plus for me. The drydown is balmy and wonderful. This is where the gentle oud, vanilla, patchouli, musk, balsam and benzoin make their presence felt, in the most harmonious and pleasant way. That's Ilham, and it is intoxicating and marvelous! Excellent website as well! ParfuMaria is second to none when it comes to shopping for high-end and hard to find niche perfumes online.
