Maria Candida Gentile - Cinabre
Cinabre is a real revolution in rose fragrances. Cinabre creates the fragrance of a magical rose with unusual and alchemical notes.
It blends the essences of the Moroccan splendens roses, absolute of May roses and pure vanilla to recreate, by magic, the scent of the Ayrshire rose splendens, an ancient rose well known for having exquisite and extremely rare notes of myrrh.
Maria Candida: In Rome there is a door called the door of Vittorio Piazza. It is one of the entrances to the Palombara Villa, where the Marquis Massimiliano used to organize, for the elite of the time, very secret events dedicated to alchemy. On the door one can still read "the seed from which was born our flower, cannot be found it the markets", meaning that alchemy was a science shared among a happy and select few.
Also written on the same door, “The hesperides dragon hides the entrance to the magic garden.” This dragon was depicted next to huge dracaena tree, also known as the tree of the dragon. The peculiarity of this tree is to produce a sap which changes color when one applies it on the skin, it becomes red, hence its name: dragon blood or cinabre.
The Cinabre fragrance takes its inspiration from a very ancient wisdom. Already in the Middle Ages it was very precious and was prized by magicians and alchemists.
